The information supplied for each service includes: a description of the service, inputs and outputs, and example SOAP requests and responses.

Account checking services

The available bank account services are:

Validate - use this service to check that the account details are in the correct format and that the account could exist
Verify - use this service to make sure that the account exists, is opened and is associated with the supplied personal or company details
ValidateIBAN - use this service to check that the IBAN is in the correct format and could exist. It also decomposes the IBAN to form the BBAN and then validates the BBAN
GetCountries - use this service to list all of the countries supported by Bank Wizard
GetInputWithSearch - use this service to retrieve the validation input details required, checking levels available and search categories available for each country
GetCountryInput - use this service to retrieve the validation input details and required and checking levels available for each country.

Card services

The available card validation services are:

ValidateCardDetails - use this service to check that the card details are in the correct format and could exist
MatchCardHolder - use this service to make sure that the card is valid, exists, and is associated with the supplied personal details
MatchDebitCardDetails - use this service to match a debit card to an account by checking that the card issuer matches the bank associated with the supplied sort code
VerifyAvsCvv - use this service to verify the card exists and perform AVS and CVV checks to make sure the card details are valid and associated with the supplied personal details

Bank data search services

You use the search services to look up specific bank data based on expressions. The available search services are:

BranchSearch - use this service to search the data and to look up a BIC for a specific country. This service returns a data access key which you can then use with the data retrieval services to retrieve the detailed bank, branch and account data
GlobalSearch - use this service to search the global data for basic branch information, including the bank ID, or to look up a BIC within the global data.

IBAN lookup services

You use the IBAN lookup services to find the IBAN and BIC details for a supplied BBAN. The available lookup services are:

GetLookupIbanInput - use this service to retrieve the lookup input details required for a specified country
LookupIban - use this service to look up the IBAN and BIC for the supplied domestic account (BBAN) details.

Bank data retrieval services

You use the data retrieval services to retrieve data specific to a bank, branch or account. The data types and the data available is determined by the details you are checking. Some of the data is only valid for specific countries; for example, Faster Payments is United Kingdom only and SEPA data is European Union countries only.

To request this data, you must supply a data access key. The key is returned by Bank Wizard when you perform a successful validation, verification or country search. The data access key is only valid for a finite amount of time. It contains all of the information needed to perform the data look up.

The available data retrieval services are:

GetAccountInformation - use this service to retrieve the account categorisation information for United Kingdom accounts
GetAdditionalData - use this service to retrieve the additional branch data, such as alternate name
GetBranchData - use this service to retrieve the branch name and address
GetFasterPaymentsData - use this service to retrieve the Faster Payments data. This data is only available for United Kingdom accounts
GetSEPAData - use this service to retrieve the SEPA data
GetSWIFTData - use this service to retrieve the SWIFT data.
