Account categorisation

You must have the correct licence to retrieve account categorisation information.

For United Kingdom accounts, you can retrieve account categorisation information to help you determine what type of organisation an account belongs to.

To retrieve the account categorisation information, you need to search the additionalInfo elements for the UK_ACAT field name.

For example:

</additionalInfo>

The possible values are:

1 - account with no category defined

2 - account owned by a Credit Union

3 - account owned by a Building Society

4 - account used by a bank for internal operations, such as a head office account

5 - business account, such as one for collecting bill payments

6 - charity account

7 - personal account

8 - government account, such as one for income tax payments

9 - local government account, such as one for council tax payments.
