Account categorisation

You must have the correct licence to retrieve account categorisation information.

For United Kingdom accounts, you can retrieve account categorisation information to help you determine what type of organisation an account belongs to.

This data is returned when you perform an Account Level check, that is BWI_UK_SORT_CODE_CHECK flag is not set. The information is returned in BWI_UK_ACAT

The possible values are:

_UNKNOWN 1 - account with no category defined

_CU 2 - account owned by a Credit Union

_BS 3 - account owned by a Building Society

_BANK 4 - account used by a bank for internal operations, such as a head office account

_BUSINESS 5 - business account, such as one for collecting bill payments

_CHARITY 6 - charity account

_PERSONAL 7 - personal account

_CENTRAL 8 - government account, such as one for income tax payments

_LOCAL 9 - local government account, such as one for council tax payments.
